Western Cedar Wood Hot Tubs

Inset Cedar Wood Hot Tub

All about Western Red Cedar

  • Western Red Cedar has an incredibly high thermal coefficient, meaning that the water stays hotter for longer.
  • Cedar is a lightweight wood that stays straight without warping. This means it resists the natural tendency to crack.
  • Unique to cedar, the cellular structure discourages moisture rot, this means that hot tubs and Japanese Baths can last up to 25 years.
  • Cedar contains oils that naturally resist bacterium and fungi growth, meaning it will have to be cleaned out less, and retains its impressive looks for years to come.

Heating Options

 Electric Heater

All of our hot tubs and Japanese Baths come with an electric heating element, your hot tub can be heated by the flick of a switch. The temperature control is regulated by a thermostat that can be varied to suit the weather and your personal preference.
Our 3KW heating system  comes complete with a sand filter and pump which ensures a long life-span for the heater and clean, clear water. Electrically heated hot tubs are the best choice for everyday use as once the tubs are hot, they stay at the perfect temperature.

Wood Burning Stove

The optional Japanese designed wood fired Chofu heater is perfect for an off-grid or eco hot tub. The Chofu relies on the thermosiphon effect to circulate the water. The hot water expands in the Chofu rises out of the top tube, and cold water is drawn in to take its place. The Chofu heater  is very efficient and after an initial warm up period of 20mins, the Chofu will heat the water very quickly with only dry fire wood required to keep the tub hot

Combined Heating

For absolute flexibility and convenience, both electric and wood fired systems can be installed,

Can be installed just about anywhere.

Whilst it is generally accepted that hot tubs are at their best in the outdoors, there is nothing preventing  an electrically heated tub being installed indoors or in an enclosed space such as a pool room or gazebo.  For outdoor spaces our Wood Fired tubs can be installed anywhere with or without an electricity supply making them ideal for campsites and holiday rental properties.
